Flu Virus Information
Good cough hygiene, good hand washing techniques and the influenza vaccination continue to be the best prevention against all flu viruses. The composition of the 2011-12 Trivalent Influenza vaccine will include the A/ Calif./7/2009(HINI)like virus, A/Perth/16/2009(H3N2) like virus and B/Brisbane/60/2008 virus.
Symptoms
Flu symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, and fatigue and, to a lesser extent, nausea and vomiting. The flu Virus may cause a worsening of chronic medical conditions.
How It Is Spread
The flu virus is thought to spread through coughing and sneezing droplets, touching something contaminated with the virus and then touching your mouth, eyes or nose. Infected people may be able to infect others (1)one day before symptoms appear and up to (7)seven days after being sick. Younger children may be contagious longer.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing
