Poynette Elementary School is seeking a dynamic, motivated, Special Education Teacher who is passionate about teaching and supporting students with disabilities. The candidates chosen for this position will be part of a grade level team to ensure that all students are learning and growing in an inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in a school that embraces a growth mindset model and believes all students can achieve at a high level. The District provides mentoring support, high quality professional development and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and administration as a collaborative team.
Candidates should be able to:
- Successfully case manage the needs of students with disabilities
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including: special education teacher, general education teachers, related service providers, parents, and administration
- Manage the time and activities of paraprofessionals
- Instruct students in small groups and large group settings
- Work collaboratively in a co-teaching classroom
- Use assistive technology to support students academic growth and performance
- Work collaboratively to differentiate curriculum, assessment and instruction
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students
- Successfully communicate verbally and in writing

Poynette Middle School is seeking an innovative, student-centered teacher to join our dynamic team of growth-minded teachers.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a student-centered teaching philosophy and a willingness to develop and assess learning experiences within a collaborative team environment. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to build strong connections with students and execute research-based assessment and feedback strategies. The successful candidate will teach two sections of 6th grade Math and one section of 6th grade Science. All teachers also provide intervention and/or enrichment to middle school students during a daily WIN period.

Substitute Teachers – Rate of pay is $135 per day: Please note only certified teachers may apply. All applicants must possess a Department of Public Instruction substitute teacher license and/or regular teaching license to be considered. Applicants must submit a completed Substitute Teacher Application (found on the district website at www.poynette.k12.wi.us) and a copy of a current teaching license to: Administrative Office, Poynette Schools, P.O.
