The School District of Poynette has an immediate opening for a part-time food service position, $16.00/hour, to work approximately 3 hours per day for the 23-24 school year.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of current nutritional meals
- Interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with students, teachers, administrators and the public
- Strong communication skills -verbal and written
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, kneeling, ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in warm and cold environments including refrigerators and freezers
- Computer Knowledge
- A strong customer service with clerk terminal experience preferred

Special education paraprofessional opening is available (Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day) for the rest of the 2023-2024 school year. The position provides instructional support to students with disabilities. Grade level assignment will be made as determined by student/teacher need.
The position may include working with students with significant disabilities. Position may also require individual to work outside during warm and cold weather and lifting up to 30 pounds. Must possess excellent work habits, such as an excellent attendance record, strong personal skills, ability to work in a team, and the ability to work effectively with students.
In order to be eligible for this position, the District requires paraprofessionals to have either: passed the ACT Workkeys exam, or have an Associates Degree, or have at least 48 credits from an accredited college/university in order to be considered highly qualified. DPI Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals Position also requires ability to accurately compute well enough to solve problems involving arithmetic, read and follow multi-step processes/directions, and ability to clearly and accurately communicate in writing/verbally. Applicants that do not have an Associates Degree or have not passed the ACT Workkeys can still apply for this position.

The School District of Poynette is in need of Substitute Teachers, Substitute Teaching Assistants, Substitute Custodians & Substitute Cooks - short and long-term positions may be available during the current school year.
Substitute Teachers – Rate of pay is $130 per day: Please note only certified teachers may apply. All applicants must possess a Department of Public Instruction substitute teacher license and/or regular teaching license to be considered.
