School Lunch Program Information

Healthy meals are crucial to student success. Our lunch program offers hot lunches for our students. The school hot lunch program operates on a nonprofit basis. The lunch prices reflect the amount the district needs to continue to offer this program to our students. The integration of Infinite Campus Food Service with your family’s Infinite Campus Census data and the Parent Portal gives users immediate, secure access to the food service information they need. With this software program, parents/Guardians may access the following information:

  • Review food service transactions such as meal counts through the Parent Portal as it is entered on the building-level
  • Provide guardians Internet access to their students’ meal selections and the costs incurred from the cafeteria in real time
  • Access account balances online
  • Receive email notification for low account balances

How Does It Work?

Every student has an account where all of the money for food service can be deposited. Then, as purchases are made through the district lunch program, money is drawn out of the account like a debit card. The student will access their personal account at the lunch lines with their PIN NUMBER that they will type into a key pad. All children will be helped with this process as needed.

 What Procedures Do We Follow?

  • The lunch program follows a pre-payment program. Parents/guardians will remit one payment for the entire family.
  • Parents/guardians will allocate lunch account dollar amounts to be dispersed among each student. When parents/guardians submit payment, indicate student name, grade, building and desired dollar amount for each individual student.
  • We will no longer have the automated phone system to notify families of low account balances.
  • Low Account Balances will be communicated via email. Balances at or below $5.00 will trigger the email notification.
  • For families with no email access at work or at home, district secretarial staff will notify families of low account balances. It is important that if families have email access, please use the email notification feature, as individual calls to families will become quite time-consuming for our secretarial staff.
  • Parents/guardians will be able to check account balances and student purchases via the Parent Portal

Other Important Information

  • Lunch payment envelopes are available for families at any of our school offices.
  • Families that do not have Infinite Campus Portal accounts and wish to review lunch account information online should register to obtain an account. Registration materials are available here or from any of the school offices in our district. Complete the registration materials and submit the paperwork to any of our school offices. Upon registration approval, new registrants will receive email notification how to access the new parent portal accounts.
  • To ensure prompt email notification of low lunch account balances, contact any of the district offices to update your family’s email contact information
  • Families that had remaining balances from the previous school year, please note that your remaining balances are transferred to the new year for the lunch program.

Ala Carte Information

The Parent Portal will allow parents to see items that your children have purchased during lunch. Users will notice that some of the items listed are abbreviated names which makes it difficult to determine what students have purchased.

Grab 'N Go Nutrition Break for High School Students

How does Grab 'n Go Nutrition Break Work?
The program works similar to popular fast food restaurant breakfasts, only healthier. The breakfast is packaged in paper bags and students pick up the bag from the cafeteria and eat it when and where they want, within school guidelines. Our food service staff, packs the bags with nutritional snacks like granola bars, yogurt or fruit. The bags are also served with a milk. The nutrition break is usually served cold at the morning break from 8:57-9:06a.m.The nutrition break will give your teen a healthy start to the day, helping him/her be more alert to learn in class. The Grab 'N Go breakfast is affordable too. If your family qualifies for free/reduced priced meals, you also qualify for the Nutrition Break program, with no additional paperwork. Prices are as follows: $1.35 paid,  $.30 reduced and free. Help your child start the day out right with breakfast.
